Christie Devon Estates comprises many stunning locations that are often used for TV, film and photography shoots. If you are looking to use an Estate location for filming purposes please contact the Estate office for further information. (01271 342558).
We often allow filming and have worked with various production companies and organisations including the BBC, ITV, and Warner Brothers. The house and gardens at Tapeley Park have featured in popular TV programmes Country House Rescue, Come Dine With Me and Secret Britain.
Christie Devon Estate’s coastal locations include the picturesque beach of Instow, a Top Gear destination, and Saunton Sands. Saunton was used as a backdrop location for “The Edge of Tomorrow” featuring Tom Cruise as well as the landing beach for the Dakota plane featured in the Lily James film ‘The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society’. It is also a popular choice of location for music video productions and the vast space of Braunton Burrows presents a unique landscape with other-world qualities. These will soon feature in forthcoming TV and film releases – watch this space!
Individuals, businesses and organisations should note that permission is required to film on Christie Devon Estates property, even in areas where free public access is allowed. These areas include Instow and Saunton beaches, Braunton Burrows and Crow Point.
